The Ugly Duckling

 Once, a mother duck had eggs.




One egg was big and gray.

Out came an ugly duckling.

The other ducks laughed at him.


He felt sad and alone.

He left to find new friends.

He saw big, white birds.

They were so beautiful.

He wished to be like them.


Winter came and he hid.

Spring came and he saw his reflection.

He was a beautiful swan!

The ugly duckling was now happy.

He found his family at last.


The moral: You will find where you belong.
