Once, a hare was very fast.
He liked to brag about it.
He saw a slow tortoise.
"I can beat you in a race," he said.
The tortoise agreed to race.
They started the race together.
The hare ran very fast.
He saw the tortoise far behind.
He stopped to rest and eat.
The tortoise walked slowly.
He did not stop or rest.
The hare fell asleep.
The tortoise kept walking.
He reached the finish line first.
The hare woke up and ran.
But it was too late.
The tortoise won the race.
The moral: Slow and steady wins the race.
Do not be too confident or lazy.
