The Monkey and the Crocodile

Once upon a time, a monkey lived in a tree by a river.
The monkey ate sweet, ripe fruits from the tree every day.

One day, a crocodile came to the river, looking for food.
The monkey said, "Here, have some fruit."
The crocodile liked the fruit and came back every day.
Soon, the monkey and the crocodile became friends.

The crocodile told his wife about the monkey and the fruit.
The crocodile's wife wanted to eat the monkey's heart.
She said, "Bring the monkey here for dinner."
The crocodile invited the monkey to his home.
As they swam across the river, the crocodile told the monkey the truth.

The monkey thought fast and said, "Oh no! I left my heart in the tree."
The crocodile swam back to the tree so the monkey could get his heart.

The monkey quickly climbed the tree and said, "You fool! My heart is inside me."
The monkey was safe, and he never trusted the crocodile again.

Moral:
Think quickly and stay calm in dangerous situations.
