The Lion and the Mouse

 Once, a lion slept in the forest.

A little mouse woke him up.




The lion was angry.

He caught the mouse in his paw.


The mouse said, "Please let me go.

One day, I will help you."

The lion laughed but let him go.


Later, hunters caught the lion.

They tied him to a tree.


The mouse heard him roar.

He came and nibbled the ropes.


The lion was free!

He thanked the little mouse.


The moral: Even small friends can help in big ways.

Kindness is never wasted.
