A hungry fox saw some grapes.

The grapes hung high on a vine.

The fox jumped to reach them.

He jumped and jumped again.

But he could not get the grapes.

The fox was tired and hot.

He said, "Those grapes are sour."

"I don't want them anyway."

He walked away feeling sad.

The grapes hung untouched.

The fox felt foolish.

He tried but gave up too soon.

The moral: It's easy to hate what you can't have.

Sometimes, we pretend things are bad when we can't get them.
