The Elephant and the Sparrow

 Once upon a time, a sparrow lived in a tree.

She had a nest with eggs in it.

One day, an elephant came to the tree.

The elephant broke the branch with his trunk.

The nest fell and the eggs broke.

The sparrow was very sad and cried.

She decided to teach the elephant a lesson.

The sparrow called her friends for help.

A woodpecker, a fly, and a frog came to help.

The fly buzzed around the elephant’s ears.

The elephant closed his eyes in anger.

The woodpecker pecked the elephant’s eyes.

The elephant became blind.

The frog croaked near a pit.

The elephant fell into the pit and learned his lesson.

Moral:

Even the small and weak can defeat the strong by working together.
